Feature

Roles and permissions inside a workspace

Who can see what, decided by role, enforced on the server rather than hidden in the interface.

Morfync assigns each user a role within their workspace. Roles determine which records and actions are available, and access rules are enforced server-side so hiding a button is never the only control.

What it does

Inside the feature

  • Roles per workspace

A user belongs to a workspace and holds a role in it. Access never spans workspaces.

  • Server-side enforcement

Permission checks run on the server. The interface reflects the rules; it does not define them.

  • Protected routes

Application areas require an authenticated session with an appropriate role before they load data.

  • Ownership stays visible

Record ownership is separate from permission, so you can see who is responsible without opening access to everyone.

Why it matters

The problem this solves

Client data deserves boundaries

Agencies and professional-service firms hold information their own clients expect to be contained. Roles make that containment explicit.

Interface-only permissions are not security

A hidden menu item is not a control. Enforcement has to happen where the data is served.
